Students love opportunities to express themselves creatively, explore big ideas, and practice working across differences.

Modern Peacenik partners with educators to make those opportunities possible through art, peace & nonviolence education, club support, collaborative projects, and platforms that can share their work beyond the school community.

what can a partnership look like?

Every school is different, so we keep our approach flexible.

We can co-develop something new or work alongside your existing programs to introduce students to big ideas, creative experiences, and opportunities to share their work beyond the school community.

Creative Projects
Students collaborate on artwork exploring peace, nonviolence, equal worth, kindness and other themes connected to Modern Peacenik values.

Peace & Nonviolence Education
Students have opportunities to explore introductory concepts of nonviolence, conflict transformation, and compassionate approaches to disagreement.

Club Support
Modern Peacenik can provide resources, creative prompts, workshops, and other support to help existing clubs deepen or expand their programming.

Collaborative Opportunities
Students can connect with other clubs, schools, educators, and organizations through shared projects.

Funding Support
Student artwork can serve as aids to fundraising through Modern Peacenik's virtual auction platforms. All proceeds go back to the student clubs or the causes they support.

existing clubs welcome

Many schools already have outstanding student clubs for the arts. Rather than starting something new, Modern Peacenik helps connect these amazing groups to a broader network, and helps to provide additional support and resources.

Interested clubs may include, but are not limited to:

  • Art Clubs

  • Drama / Theater Clubs

  • Digital / Media Clubs

  • Craft Clubs

  • Illustration Clubs

  • Community service clubs

what is a
Modern Peacenik club?

A Modern Peacenik Club is a place to create, explore, collaborate, and take action. Students might:

  • Create collaborative artwork around themes of peace, justice, and connection

  • Explore ideas about nonviolence, conflict, compassion, and social change

  • Work together on creative projects for the Modern Peacenik Gallery

  • Create artwork for school or community exhibitions

  • Collaborate with other student clubs or schools

  • Use creative projects to support a cause they care about

  • Share their work publicly and help amplify other student voices

There isn't one formula for a Modern Peacenik Club. The goal is to give students the freedom to shape something that reflects their interests while connecting their creativity to a larger vision of peace.

The first model is intentionally more flexible, while the second can offer more direct Modern Peacenik resources and guidance.

Which model is right for your school?
