Kindness is not weakness or passivity. It takes strength to remain compassionate, especially when we may be angry, afraid,
or divided.

Every person, every community, and every form of life has inherent worth. No one is above or
beneath another.

Nonviolence is an active force. It is the courage to confront injustice and create change without
causing harm.

We believe we are part of something larger than ourselves. Our lives are connected to one another, to other living beings, and to the world we share. Because of this interconnectedness...what we do, makes a difference.

We don't believe people need to agree on everything to treat one another with respect. In fact, a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds is absolutely necessary. We want to create spaces where people can think deeply, listen across differences, and challenge injustice without dehumanizing one another.
